Devin Hoff (and friends) perform live at the Red Poppy Art House in the Mission District of San Francisco on Saturday, January 3, 2009. Devin started the evening with a solo bass performance and was later joined during the second set by pianist Kito Gamble and drummer Geechi Taylor.
San Francisco native Jaz Sawyer returned to the Bay Area to reunite with longtime music collaborators to present a live night of music at Yoshi’s San Francisco on December 1, 2008.

On June 20, 2008, the Red Poppy Art House celebrated Marcus Shelby’s original trio by playing host to a reunion performance with Marcus on Bass, Matt Clark on piano, and Jaz Sawyer on drums. Joining them was the powerhouse tenor saxist Howard Wiley along with special guest Geechi Taylor on Trumpet. Here’s a few photos and a short video clip that’ll give you a small taste of what turned out to be a crazy hot and steamy summer night of killin’ live jazz in the Mission.
