San Francisco Symphony Rehearses Prokofiev’s Ivan the Terrible

The San Francisco Symphony rehearses on October 17, 2012 with Russian conductor Vladimir Jurowski leading the Orchestra, along with soloists Elena Zaremba and Andrey Breus, and the SFS Chorus, in Prokofiev’s Ivan the Terrible. These performances were the North American premiere of a recently discovered arrangement by Levon Atovmyan.

Fourth Annual Switchboard Music Festival Live at Brava Theater

The festival was founded by composers and performers Jeff Anderle, Ryan Brown, and Jonathan Russell with the goal of featuring composers and musicians who push the boundaries of their respective genres. Chamber Music Day Live at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music

On September 12, 2010, 31 chamber music ensembles, from baroque and classical to contemporary and jazz, performed on three different stages for a marathon six-hour run of live music as part of Chamber Music Day presented by the SF Friends of Chamber Music in collaboration with the SF Conservatory of Music.
