O.G.D. Live at the Alpha Bar

February 21, 2006

I randomly met an interesting guy named Brandon Etzler while out at Fort Funston a few weeks back. He was gearing up to fly a radio controlled airplane when I stopped to ask him about the hobby. After talking a while, I learned that he was a jazz drummer who knew some of the other artists I’ve recorded recently. So, I jotted down his email address thinking I’d try to record him some time. Well, I finally got a chance to check out his playing at the @lpha Bar on Geary and 3rd Avenue, which has a pretty cool and mellow vibe going on for the Inner Richmond. He was playing with Wil Blades on keys and Steve Burke on guitar in a band they call O.G.D. (Organ, Guitar, Drums).

Check out this sample track called Jazz ‘n Samba that I recorded during the gig. Please note that this recording is intended for personal, non-commercial use only and cannot be used for any purpose without the express consent of the artists.
